A Ghostly Apparition?

Not by any means is this a ghostly apparition. This is a simple and common mistake that occurs all the time on many shots I've seen on other websites. This blue "apparition" is simply an oil smudge on the lens from my finger. It refracts the light when using the flash, causing this effect. Proper cleaning of the lens (often) will reduce these errors. Use a soft cloth designed specifically for lens cleaning. Using a laundered cloth, such as a shirt may still leave residue behind. There are fragrences and additives in laundry soap which can leave oils behind, causing this effect. Also, notice the second camera being used to confirm this is an operator error. HOPPS always tries to use 2 sources for verification purposes.
