Packed to go
We've come a long way in just a year. We now have 7 handheld cameras capable of IR (0 lux) recording, along with IR lighting units to assist in longer range photography. We got the professional wired cameras and duplexers so we can monitor and record several areas at once. I use the DAZER, which emits a high frequency sound (ultrasonic) that humans can't hear, but is great for finding out if there are bats, birds, or other animals in areas you're investigating. This eliminates some of the sounds early on that can be attributed to animals hiding in dark places. The tazer is taken along to outside locations where one might run into a wild animal, dog, deer, bear, etc. It also has an ear piercing alarm built into it, which aids in curtailing attacks by animals. If not, worse case, you give them a nice jolt and send them on their way. The EMF and K-2 meters I bought when wiring my house, not knowing at the time they could be used for other purposes. Of course we have digital still cameras, but the limitations in the dark make them useful only some of the time. This list isn't everything we have, but plenty of what's important. We carry a small Faraday Cage to eliminate elctromagnetic interference on one of the voice recorders, but rarely do we have to use it.
